Google routinely likes to play games with us and often makes big changes to the user interface of their platforms.
Until now, this one was called Google My Business (now: Google Business Profile)
Here’s how to grant access and add a user to Google My Business (oops! Google Business Profile)
Sign in to Google My Business
With the new Google experience, you will then be taken to the Google search engine where you will be able to see the search results for your business and your Google Business Profile on the right.
This new layout features clear icons below the search bar for easy access to update your Google profile. Here, you will find three vertical dots – click on this to show further options in form of a drop-down menu:
Click on ‘Business Profile Settings‘
Click on ‘Managers‘
Click ‘Add‘ and type in the email address of the user that you are looking to invite to manage your profile.
(When working with Rugged SEO, the email address shown in the image above is the one to use).
Select the permissions that you would like to assign this user. Most of the time, it will be: “manager” access.
Lastly, click the blue “invite” button.
Poof! You’re done!
